Manali Camp – 12 days
Manali is a quite popular hill station nestled in the mountains of the Himachal Pradesh near the northern end of the Kullu Valley, at an altitude of 2,050 m (6,726 ft) close to the river Beas. The Kullu region is known as the Valley of Gods. It is situated at the beginning of an ancient trade route to Ladakh and from there over the Karakoram Pass on to Yarkand and Khotan in the Tarmin Basin. The climate in and around Manali is predominantly cold during winters, and moderately cool during summers. Snowfall often takes place between November end to early February.
Apart from regular Tourists, Manali has become much more happening place in recent times because of the camping opportunities, ski-ing, river-rafting, trekking and such other adventure activities it has to offer.
Remark: This region has harsh climatic conditions, with temperatures often going below 0ºC. The programme requires patience, endurance and ability to cope with changes in fluctuating environments.

I can say that, I became a trekker for life after being part of Wild Holidays Himalayan camp near Manali. The pristine camping site in the lap of Himalayas with Solang glacier in the front was just surreal. The experience with Wild Holidays was a memorable one, so much so that I took my family members and friends once again me! Now, every year we all crave for Himalayas with Wild Holidays. Very warm and friendly are Himanshu Sir and Louie Sir, and all the group leaders.
I always say “it is not a luxury trip”, but having said that it is the right way to travel and live in nature. Food is healthy, clean, and always freshly made by the loving kitchen staff of Manali camp. Stay at camp site is always warm and comfortable. Even in worst of weathers, best care is always taken. All the activities move around the fact to make one stronger and ready to face all odds. The group I was traveling with was very friendly, and river crossing was a real fear-breaker for me! I would very much recommend traveling with Wild Holidays, and I always love to promote activities that bring people closer to nature, and support its conservation.
